Can I register my cat with CFA or CCA?
My cat is a very beautiful exotic shorthair. I got him from my friend's mom whos exotic shorthairs had kittens. I asked her if they had any sort of registration and they didn't. They look purebred to me, and my boy does too (from what I've seen and researched on the net)
If I can, I'd like to register him with the CCA (canadian cat association) or the CFA (cat fanciers association). But if I can't that's cool too, it doesn't really matter.
I just think it would be nice to say I have a purebred cat.
Is it possible for him to get registered if he has no history (ie parents granparents etc etc) of proven family or registration?
Oh... well it seems theres a bunch of fees that go with it too. Meh. Is it the same for dog associations too?
no you cant. CFA and CCA cats have to come from registered stock. both parents have to have registrations on file before the litter can be registered
